Animation Fades

Is there a way to have an objects be visible or not visible on the timeline? And I’m not saying fade in or out. And correct me if I’m wrong on this. Because when I use a fade, and I do 0-100 fade in, I typically have to do a fade 0-0 from the start of the animation to the start of the fade. Because I’m finding before the fade I create, I can see the object, then it fades during the animation part and go back to normal after the action part.

Not as far as I know but this would make a great feature. In reality even at 0 the invisible object still impacts renders, at least in GPU mode. That would be a nice fix as well but think it’s related to turning an object basically on/off.

I cheated in some animations moving the object out of the way very fast, so it didn’t ruin other items while it was fade out to 0.

Another possible workaround is rendering animation in parts, manually switching object visibility between them. But to be honest, this is candidate to fix for years, instead of playing with move tool checkboxes.

Hi

On my side, I make several model set and studio with different configuration to fit my needs. When I want something invisible, I do a studio switch event from one with the part to next one without. Then, if needed I add fade animation on the part to get the transition.

Hope that’s clear enough.
